PSI INSPECTION AND AUDITING
The PSI system is used in many countries for fiscal and safety reasons. The purpose is to ensure that the goods imported into the respective countries are of a standard which will be beneficial to the population and the public health. The PSI system can also be used to protect foreign currency reserves and to ensure maximum customs revenues for the countries in question.
Some countries have restricted their intervention to comprise of inspection of the physical goods only, to ensure that the quantity, quality, packaging and marking of the goods are in accordance with the contractual conditions and legal requirements of the country.
Baltic Control Ltd. offers the following products:
- Verification of the value of goods for the purposes of customs clearance, verification of the accuracy of the H&S codes and the classification and calculation of the duties and taxes payable.
- This may be followed up by a comprehensive classification and reporting system which provides updated data for statistical and budgeting purposes

- Audits of existing systems and procedures
- Consultancy services on the implementation of programs to ensure countries’ tax and duty revenues.
We have developed a database in order to meet the clients´ PSI and price valuation demands. By logging in with a unique user and password authentication via the Baltic Control web site, all information is made available and it does not require an installation process. Every user has a personal username and password.
