LANDING CERTIFICATION

Baltic Control Ltd. is a regular monitor to the European Commission in Brussels and our certificates are recognized as arrival documentation by all members’ countries of the European Union. Baltic Control Ltd. complies with all applicable EU regulations and has been granted with the authorisation to issue the so-called landing certificates and/or arrival documentation.

In collaboration with our offices around the world, the Baltic Control Group has established a system to ensure that all required surveys are carried out in order to verify the actual physical condition of the goods in the receiving country, which is laid down as a precondition for issuing the certificates by the EU authorities.

The benefit for the exporters is that they are given evidence to show that the goods have arrived safely and is being processed in the destination country in accordance with the rules and regulations of the subsidy schemes set up by the European Commission, and they can therefore get their subsidies released quickly with the financial benefits this implies for the exporter and thereby to the company’s competitiveness and liquidity in the marketplace. Of course, this will also benefit the end receiver and ultimately the consumer.

An added effect of Baltic Control’s intervention at the destination is that it provides the exporters with an overview of the actual reception of their supplies, which will of course enable them to adjust their payment systems accordingly. It also offers the possibility of prompt intervention in case of problems occurring at the destination, and serves to assist a trader in ensuring the prompt and efficient marketing of his product, and in offering a better service to his client, and to reduce the commercial risk. Loss prevention procedures can be initiated.

As exporter of agricultural products to a country outside the European Union, we would recommend that you use an EU-approved inspection agency in connection with your contractual execution of the orders and the recovery of subsidies.
